My teaching experience in SMP Labschool UPI, I already saw the diversity of the students regarding with their learning styles. I was assigned in Grade 7, 8 and 9. My class will start at 7am and will end at 3pm. It’s very tiring but at the same time fulfilling because of the feedback of my students.
They are interested to learn and very active in class especially our topic is all new to them and I shared some of our traditional Philippine Folk dances and different games from our country. Each of them has a different behaviors so I have to blend with their characteristics too. I learned another way on how to catch the attention of the students and they always love to have a random physical activities.
The students there has a high respect to their teachers and one of my favorite thing is that when they saw me or even after our class, they will always do their “salam” to you, they will kiss your hand or put your hand to their cheeks. That is their one way of showing their respect to you.
