Summary and Suggestions
It’s good to have an end towards our journey but it is the journey that matters in the end. There are experiences in life that cannot be payed by money and this is one of my experiences.
The SEAMEO program has ended and I am quite sad that our sea-teacher journey has already finished. Despite the challenges we faced, we conquered it all with passion and faith in God.
Purpose of the Practicum
This opportunity really helped me to become a better person, to be more responsible in terms of decision making and to know how to manage things on my own especially my emotion and to be more independent. That made me realized also about the importance of becoming a responsible and dedicated teacher in the future.

We learned basic greetings in Bahasa Indonesia to communicate with other people who can’t understand English language especially those people in the market and other vendors. We discover ourselves more because we have encountered different people with different personalities. It really tested ourselves not just in teaching but also in socializing other people.
In life, there are opportunities that open doors for new learning. It is really better to grab all of it because it may help you grow as a person. All I can say is that you can never know unless you’ve tried. I’ve tried and that I have conquered. It was the passion and determination that helped me to surpass all of the struggles. All of the unforgettable moments were kept and treasured. Those things will serve as my ticket for my future job.
Challenges of the Practicum
One of the problem I experience there was our language. Sometimes I find it hard to express everything or communicate with them because some of them can't understand English especially outside the school, for example I ate my lunch at the restaurant but then my order gone wrong because they misinterpreted it but it is okay I understand it. It's a nice experience to communicate people via hand gestures and eye to eye contact hahahha such a wonderful experience tho.
