Teaching System
SMP Labschool Universitas of Pendidikan Indonesia strengthen the mastery of teaching materials, additional learning hours are given in the form of extracurricular activities in several subjects, namely English (English Conversation), Japanese Language, Mathematics, and Read and Write Al-Quran. Learning with "Bilingual Teaching" which utilizes various media and laboratory facilities, and is used in special classes.
Materials and other Learning Resources
SMP Labschool Universitas of Pendidikan Indonesia provides a lot of learning materials that could help the students to learn new and widen their knowledge. They provide different books that can enrich the vocabulary of the students and do some research every time they have assignments. Also, the teahers' are literate in terms of using the technology. For example, using of the Power point presentation, it is a great help for the students to visualize and understand their lesson.
Measurement and Evaluation
The school's evaluation and measurement system is more of an authentic assessment. These outcome practices are rooted to their curriculum which focused on development of play, values and social skills than of academics.

Curriculum
SMP Labschool Universitas of Pendidikan Indonesia used the Curriculum 2013. Instructional activities of all subjects have the same approach, that is scientific through observing, questioning, associating, experimenting, and networking. The teachers understand those scientific approaches and know how to apply it in the classroom, through it the teachers can play their roles during teaching and learning process because curriculum 2013 is based on process oriented, not product oriented.
